I've seen the 70s wagon vettes and a lot of other crazy customs, but the spoiler and graphics on this ...unique... car, complete with Fuzzy Dice hanging from the rear window make this custom Corvette worth mentioning. Probably could have made it into a hotrod magazine back in the day. I used to flip through dad's old car magazines full of stuff like this when I could barely read. It's amazing how much money probably went into this back when it was done.
Who cares about a perfectly restored '69 427/435? They're a dime a dozen! Where are you ever going to find another Vette with an exploding volcano and THE FIRE GOD painted on it in giant letters. That's just priceless.
I was a car guy back then and I'm proud to say I did not participate in the wacky graphics craze. It got pretty silly. It was almost as bad as the custom van madness. People were actually putting 2" deep **** carpet on the dash of their scooby doo machines.

My Grandpa has a 1970's corvette laying around, I just got it running. I am just curous if anyone be able to tell me more about this car, it has bright red flames, a volcano on the back, bright red velvet seats. I am really looking for more info!!
That appears to be the original Fire God Corvette. A very iconic custom in its day. Something has changed under the hood as the orig. had a 671 blower sticking through that hood opening.
Please post a few more pics, tell us your location and how long your grandfather has owned this cool old Vette.

I’m sorry but it’s not for sale. I’m at going to fully restore. What kind of price would you put on it if it had the original motor and everything back in it?

Very difficult to put a price on a custom. But a huge factor in this car's value will be whether or not that fire breathing, blown 427 is still around.
If you have skill and deep pockets, and want the car back how it was in the magazine to keep for yourself, go for it. If you think you will bring it back to it's former glory, then find a buyer and sell for a profit, think again. Best bet is to find someone with a lot of money who wants the "Fire God" and let them pay you to restore it for them. When was the magazine article? I also like custom 'Vettes.
