Default 69 front clip technical question!

Here's the deal! I picked up a 69 Vette for cheap it's my first one! The car has has everything original except the 74 front clip and hood. I have the money to purchase the original but idk what parts will interchange such as headlights ,fender wells and such. Will I need to buy everything or can I get by with the clip, hood, bumper hardware grill chrome ext?? Much appreciated y'all!

Pretty much nothing on the 74 clip swaps back to 69.

Off the top of my head...
Part - year fit
Surround panel 73-74
Side fenders 73-79
Lower valance panel 73-79
grilles 74
Parking lamps, 73-74
Headlamp supports, and hardware 68-74
Headlamp housings 68-82
Headlamp bezels.. technically there are different ones.. Metal with holes, (h/l washer'd cars), Metal no holes, and fiberglass.. and then repro abs plastic. For putting a car back together where it doesn't make that much diff. 68-82.
Bumper 73-74.

Got any pictures? If you'd like, email sales a list at Willcox@Willcoxcorvette.com and I'll have them get you some prices together.

Now that you know what you'll need from people knowledgeable with 74 to 69 differences........be aware their could be more gremlins lurking. A damaged Corvette, coming out of the body shop can have a lot of horrible things hidden under Bondo and paint. My 70 was in a front end collision. I knew when I bought it. I had no idea how much damage it had experienced. I thought damage was limited to some fiberglass repairs to the left front quarter panel. Both quarter panels were extensively damaged and Bondo repaired. The entire front clip is a piece of junk...has to be replaced. The collision destroyed part of the windshield wiper door brackets. The windshield wiper motor is not stock..a financial hit if I want to replace it with a original 70 BB wiper with the 5 port (?) washer system. The engines is not original (knew that).

Yes indeed. I have been crawling around my car for months now. 2 months after I bought the car I pulled into a store and noticed fluid was leaking out from under the motor a freeze plug had rusted out between the block and tranny so I decided to pull the motor and it was wore smooth out so I took it to a shop and had it completely rebuilt. I also found fiberglass that had been cut out to hold an aftermarket exhaust trim in the rear after I removed the old exhaust I went with stainless hooker sidepipes.
