Now that you know what you'll need from people knowledgeable with 74 to 69 differences........be aware their could be more gremlins lurking. A damaged Corvette, coming out of the body shop can have a lot of horrible things hidden under Bondo and paint. My 70 was in a front end collision. I knew when I bought it. I had no idea how much damage it had experienced. I thought damage was limited to some fiberglass repairs to the left front quarter panel. Both quarter panels were extensively damaged and Bondo repaired. The entire front clip is a piece of junk...has to be replaced. The collision destroyed part of the windshield wiper door brackets. The windshield wiper motor is not stock..a financial hit if I want to replace it with a original 70 BB wiper with the 5 port (?) washer system. The engines is not original (knew that).
Yes indeed. I have been crawling around my car for months now. 2 months after I bought the car I pulled into a store and noticed fluid was leaking out from under the motor a freeze plug had rusted out between the block and tranny so I decided to pull the motor and it was wore smooth out so I took it to a shop and had it completely rebuilt. I also found fiberglass that had been cut out to hold an aftermarket exhaust trim in the rear after I removed the old exhaust I went with stainless hooker sidepipes.
