I bought my car with the engine out and when I put it back in I was running a Holley with a fabricated bracket. I have now installed the correct Quadrajet and need the bracket. I am seeing brackets for sale that say they are for a Corvette but also just about every other GM, is this correct do all GM cars with a Quadrajet use the same bracket.
From past experience I pulled a L82 engine out of my 1972 El Camino with a 4 barrel carb and dropped it into a 1976 Chevelle that had a 2 Barrel carb without any problems on the transmission and throttle linkages using the parts from the 1972. I did not have to swap many parts except for factory exhaust manifolds and valve covers. Nice thing about the GM SMB 350s and rochester carbs the parts remained fairly consistant over the years.
