Keeping memories alive and making new ones is what the hobby is all about. When I was in Eastern Europe some years back, they had a saying. "Nobody is really gone as long as someone remembers them" Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Guys.. all these memories make me feel young again!
Just another story and picture. Ray (my friend) and I worked at the local gas station, before they had "self service pumps", we pumped gas, changed oil, repaired tires etc, (anyone else know what a snap ring rim is?) Anyway I had the engine out of my Camaro putting headers, cam manifold, etc. During all this Ray and I took the spreadbore Holley from my Camaro and put on the Vette. (We were young and stupid) So when I pulled the air cleaner on Baby ... yep there was my old Holley! At that moment I could remember that night as clear as yesterday.
Looking great with the blue on blue, (Lemans Blue), nice survivor.
Brought my 427/390 '68 convertible in Apr '72, that Fall scraped up enough $ to buy a set of Hookers side mounts, Holley 800 spread bore and 60 series tires. Mine is International Blue with believe it or not red interior. It also has a college parking lot sticker on the left side glass.
