i know much to the dismay of the pureists some of us do like a custom look or flair to their c3 like fander flares, tilt front ends etc...so lets see whats out there???
here is my work in progress
found it on rockford Illinois craigslist and something drew me to it looked like this
added rear 2 inch flares and a custom rear bumper, smoothed out the rough one off (cobra esq) front end. added a scoop to the front.
gonna drop in a fresh 355 with a muncie and black ceramic hooker headers and sidepipes, and some ansen sprints
this should be a fun thread lets see how many cars are posted with the twin turbo hood....
Your Co-vette-bra......I love customs and dig the idea but somewhere the front and rear doesn't flow together for me, ...hum it is really cool, can't put a finger where it loses me....perhaps a mind freak on me.
Here is what mine will look like,
Well sorta, I plan to do a motion phase style hoodscoop of my own making as I hate the silly mako cake pan hood scoop, ( anyone got a 67 bb scoop laying around? )
Mine will run flip up head lights just because and 69 firebird tail lights I happen to have.
I love the stock 68-73 chrome bumper duck tail rear but it will at the least be ZL-1 flared, ( I have both sets of flares, ZL-1 - L-88 we sell a few sets to fund our cars )
Heres my work in progress. In primer and guide coat now. Electic work over the winter, paint and interior in spring. Flared fenders, molded in front spoiler added the cowl as well. Side pipes and fiero seats as well.
I’d say my 73 qualifies for this thread. It has the Ecklers 1 pc Hood and Flares and a Molded in Rear Clip which was done sometime in the 80” by a previous owner. Has VB’s after market Suspension Front and Rear and some shiny stuff in the Engine Bay and the interior has all been redone and Heat/Soundproofed and also has a 200R4 OD Tranny.
Getting a new motor and hood now. My bucket list with the car is the Hot Rod Power Tour, One Lap of America, Optima Street Car Challenge, and Bowling Green NCM Caravan. Time and money permitting.
Don't forget to check out www.makoshark2.com where the custom guys hang out.

Rosslato
Stunning car, I'm jealous.
I have that same suspension front and rear on my chassis going under my 69 how do you like it ride and handling?
Thanx a lot. I love the suspension, big upgrade from stock, those potholes and bumps only hurt half as much now. i also have Bilsteins all around which beats out the KYB's i used to have and also bought a rebuilt steering box. Also have 160,000 miles on the frame and body, i love driving it!!
