Pics would help of a 69 body off if anyone has.
I'm not sure what you mean. Standard hand tools (ratchets, wrenches, pliers, etc) will remove everything on your list. For 69, all of it should be SAE. An air ratchet is also very nice. I have two: 1/4" and 3/8" drives.
Most likely the body mount bolts will be seized up and will need to be cut off. In many cases the nut inside the nut cage will just spin and you cannot get at the nut cage to hold the nut.
Some of them have very little access to get to but a Dremel with a fiberglass cut off wheel will but barely.
All the other stuff is just regular automotive tools. But the bumper bolts are probably seized up as well. I go through a routine to get off bolts and nuts in this order: 6 pt ratchet, breaker bar, propane torch, acetylene torch. Almost always nothing works except the acetylene torch which always works if the related parts won't get scorched. I don't bother with any penetrating oils-waste of time.
Hi rv,
I'm surprised you're asking about #1.... that's really the easiest because you have good access from both the top and bottom.
#2 and #3 are tricky because there is only access to the top.
#4 has access from top and bottom, but the access to the top isn't as easy as #1 because you must reach it through the rear compartment.
LOT'S of rust buster so you don't round off the bolt heads!
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
#1, Passenger's side, looking from below. The bolt head is on top of the birdcage bracket, you can't see it from this angle, but it's right there.
well I was just running my finger where the #1 mount is I didn't really get started yet but I did start soaking the rust bust. Also picked uo the AIM for 69 as suggested. Pics will follow as I start my restore. Boxes bags labels and plenty of room are ready to go. Looking forward to the challenge of busting rust. Thanks everyone
