68 survivor

So I'm helping a friend bring his 68 ( he bought it new in 68) back to life after sitting for 20 years. I joined NCRS to get advise but my question is how much should I not touch?? The tires were shot so we were going to buy repo tires but the rallies are rusted inside- I'd like to blast them and repaint but I'm super scared of hurting the value of this vette. We are trying to not re do anything although it may be to tired to save. it has been touched up on almost every corner but other wise intact. A little rough but....

If you're trying to preserve the car as-is in order to get an NCRS Bowtie award, do nothing. The car doesn't even have to run. Contact your local chapter to get the ball rolling.
