Hi Sug,
First of all, a beautiful car is a beautiful car. As to wheel treatment, that's a matter of taste and preference...there's no right or wrong. I've had a '72 since 1985. I've always liked the look of P02's but resisted putting them on because the car wasn't "built with them." This last year I finally bought and restored a set. I was a dummy for waiting so long...I really like the look. Of course, I kept the original rings and centers so, like the hard top... a couple of minutes can make the car can look different any time at all. I'm sure you get a plenty of compliments no matter what wheel treatment. And let's face it, isn't that the reason why we take care of these cars?
Enjoy,
Dan

P02's are a little more distinctive and fewer were made. I never used to like them but they have grown on me. I have P02's with sidepipes on my 69 and ralleys on my 68. They both look great. Not to keen on the mags. Great looking car
I've always loved the P02 look and agree they look best with thin stripe tires, especially red with an appropriate exterior color. Thanks to forum member jshafer I finally was able to buy a set in 8.5/10 condition (to match my Vette), and ordered a set of redline radials off Corvette Central during their "free shipping" period. They are all set to go on in the spring. Will look nice with the burgundy paint.
I have side pipes Torque Thrust rims .... I think the Torque Thrusts look great with the side pipes. The black paint helps also ..... That's the Historic McConnell House in the background. Just visiting .....
I like all three, do the same thing with mine ( except I have the thin whitewalls instead of redlines and RWL Goodyears with the TTII's)
....the P02's look better in person, for some reason they are very hard to photograph without getting a weird distortion

Mike, I've been thinkin' about doin' that for a while now, maybe just for a cruise night or two to see how fast people notice (except I was gonna do RWL and mags & P02's and WW's)
