Without pics, not much else can be discerned.

What do the door hinge areas look like? Get some pictures of the bird cage. Get pictures of the entire frame front to back. Get some dead on pictures of both sides to see how the doors line up with the panels.
Long and short of it is the cars priced at the higher in the range. If its really nice and trouble free it could be a decent buy.
I would ask a member here to go take a look for you.
I am more looking for input to see if the car is even worth pursuing. It is in upstate NY so it is going to be a challenge to get an inspector because of the winter season and lots of snow right now so before I really put effort into this car and get my hopes up, I wanted to put my feelers out...

Nobody that I know of would get frustrated or angry over this thread/discussion.
I will tell you that nobody would like for you to make a huge mistake and end up purchasing a car for 9 grand and find out later it was worth 5 grand tops, especially if you did not get an inspection.
Your newest post here is a game changer now. You want to know if you want to put a real effort into this car? Only YOU can actually answer this question. Nobody else will be able to determine this.
I had a minimum standards list that a potential car would have to meet before I would even consider having the car inspected. I will be happy to share this list.
I required the following items from the seller:
1. Pics of exterior
2. Pics of interior
3. Stamp pad picture
4. Trim tag picture
5. Vin pillar picture
6. Pictures of the frame from different angles
7. Pictures of door jams
8. Pictures of top of windshield and a pillar areas
9. Picture of cowl
10. Any pics of documentation the car has.
If the seller provided this information I was able to eliminate 3/4 of the cars. 1/4 of the cars deemed qualified for an inspection. Inspections USUALLY discovered items that were not seen by the detailed pictures and information. Therefore, I was able to eliminate further.
Fortunately, my inspector on the red dragon did an excellent job. I knew the first minute while I was on the phone with him that THIS was the car I was buying. You will know it when it hits you. I was so sure it was perfect for me I didn't even bother seeing the car. I paid for it and had it delivered and it was even better than I thought.
I am proud to show it to ANYONE!!!! Even the most picky of the NCRS people. And they WILL point EVERYTHING out. It frustrates some owners but NOT ME. I am bringing it to the next major event. The corvette speaks for itself and I am all smiles.

Unless your October's in NY are full of green grass and green leaves on trees.
Hook line and sinker!!!!!!
Pics taken with the last month? PFFFFFT!!! Red flag number one. If he really told you this, it was a REALLY foolish thing to say. Right there alone I would start to wonder about this deal.

Awesome catch taylor34. You hooked a huge fish here!
