Brake line question

Brake line question
Driver side front there is a brass block that I think a couple of lines tie into there is also a broken wire clip that appears to be attached to some kind of sensor maybe. Only thing left is the clip a a very small piece of wire. What was or is that. I will send a pic on 12/31.

Just another comparison photo.
Not the best angle but on my '72 car, looks to be the same booted, light brown colored wire coming from the brass block, as in DonnieP73's picture.
