Bought my '74 smallblock convertible in 1979 with about 62,000 miles on the clock.
Had the engine rebuilt three years ago at maybe 165,000 miles.
Now showing more than 173,000 miles!
So, 111,000 miles driven in 34 years.

Hi,
Interesting posts...
Some driven when new, but very little now.
Some driven when new, but not so much now.
Some not driven too much when new, but lots of miles now.
Some driven sorta continuously.
Regards,
Alan

Hi Alan,
Your initial post was a good question. It's always interesting how fellow CF members get the chance (or not) to drive their cars.

Thanks for setting it up and Happy New Year, back at ya.

No, it was 99999 one day when I arrived home from a show. I drove around on residential streets a bit until the odometer showed 00000.

About 100 feet since I bought it in July 2011... Expect to drive the wheels off of it when it gets road-worthy...

About 5.5K or 2750 miles/year for my 1969 350 4speed.

I bought the 81 in 2007 with 132000. The suspension and interior really showed the age so I think the odometer was fairly accurate. Should be 45 deg and sunny today so a cruise will be in order and that will put the clock at 159000

Bought my 82 in 97 with 57,000 miles on it. Now have 233,000 miles on it. But since I recently broke off the speedometer needle and replacement speedometer ordered, will soon say 00,000.

I bought mine on 10/31/05 with 33xxx showing and it's now at 52xxx. I'm very sure that's at least 100000 + miles, if not 200000 on the car.

Alan, I am really embarrassed, and think I have won the prize.

The title into me on my '69 L71 is dated May 18, 1994, and the mileage was about 18,530. The car still had 1973 license plates on it, and it had been in a garage for 20 years. My mileage now is 20,640, so that equates to about 100 miles a year.

I certainly have not justified ownership of the car and someone else needs to enjoy it. I am now 72 years old, and the car is for sale on the Forum.

Hi Ralph,
There are a few people in the same boat (car) as you.
I bought my car in March of 1971 and drove it everyday for about a year and a half (about 35,000 miles).
I then got another car and the Corvette stayed in a garage. I drove it about 11,000 miles in the next 16 or 17 years.
Then in 1990 the restoration started and I didn't drive it again until 2011 when I had it Flight Judged at an NCRS Chapter Meet because it was it's 40th year of existence.
I'm right behind you in age! Right now I'm still planning on keeping it, although there is a plan for it if/when something happens to me.
Good Luck with your car's sale!
Regards,
Alan

Pic taken in 2014....
Forward of the headlights and also the tail light panel were replaced so I'm thinking it sat in a storage shed for a couple decades because of accidents.

10 years later it has about 57,XXX miles on the odometer since the 1st speedometer pic was taken.
So....approx. 3,000 miles in 10 years...(but the jackstands have a couple thousand miles on them...)

Default Miles Driven .... Total

I purchased my 1968 Coupe on May 26, 1970 when it had about 31,00 miles. I still drive it 3 or 4 times a week for about one hour on each drive, but only on sunny days and salt free roads. The odometer broke a few years ago and my best estimate of today's mileage is around 130,000 miles.
