That's a situation where BOTH of you were lucky that you held your composure. On a lighter note, This just means that you're going to have to get another vet…one for the daily driving and the other for the open road and shows.
To you, sir, and to all of your brothers and sisters that served on our behalf, thank you.

I didnt read all the way thru the thread cuz this stuff infuriates the hell out of me.
When a little old lady ran into my DD in the costco parking lot. I called Peoria PD . They said exchange insurance info gather plate # DL #'s
then turn it over to insurance. assuming you have full coverage. your insurance co will go after her ins co.
You dont need to to a thing

I must agree......and disagree. The disagreement is purely "mental". After "dodging bullets", I have the strange attitude that Life is important---and Anything that degrades that importance is a direct attack on me. I realize that is a difficult thing for someone to understand who has not been in combat--(thank God!).....but that's the way it is. And I deal with it as best I can.

"trust me she didn't care you were a vet, a man or anything else....
". That's probably how the ILLEGAL felt who murdered my son and fled...There WAS a day when I would have found him/cooked him/eaten him.

Now.....to lighten the mood a little:

I have self-edited myself 8 times in trying to respond to this post. I am so pissed I can't find words of encouragement to offer - happens when you are Italian! I believe in karma and she will get hers tenfold!

That's a excuse if I ever heard one. I hate it when people say that, like it makes bad behavior okay because, "I was having a bad day".

To the OP, THANK YOU for your service to our country!

Thank you for your service !!

Pursue this even if you do not win. Dont give in. First go through the insurance. If that dont help go to small claims court. Also call the court and see if there is a way to get the film footage. But definately do not just walk away without trying. P.s. I would have also told the police she might be drunk

A very nice lady "tagged" the rear of my vehicle at a stop sign....she wasn't drunk or medded....the Officer KNEW something wasn't "right" with her, and would not let her leave the scene by driving! We knew/called her daughter---she found out that her mother was in the beginning stages of dementia!

Moral of the story: Do yourself and the offender a favor----when an accident happens and the offender doesn't co-operate/seems "off".....911/report them as under the influence...they either need an attitude adjustment or medical attention---let the officer sort it out---if he's a good officer, he will "correct" either problem...LOL!
