I have a set of factory aluminum wheels that I cleaned and polished by wet sanding based on the advice of several members however the wheels still have gouges that I have not been able to remove with wet sanding. Anyone have a process to remove the gouges?
If the gouges are deep and that area is NOT painted, you will have to have someone do some heli-arc welding to fill the gouges, then grind smooth and do finish sanding, again. If it is in an area that is painted, you could fill it with a good epoxy filler, then sand smooth and re-paint.

I run a mobile wheel repair company, if your able to post a photo I would be happy to give you some advice. If it's on the lip you can most likely sand it out and then polish it back out.
