Has anyone used the correct black headlight adjusters and had them crack on you while screwing in the screw? Well I bought 8 of them and 6 cracked on me. Contacted the vendor and were great about getting new ones to me but don't want them to crack either. So what's the trick? I was using the yellowish nylon ones and seem a little thicker where the screw goes but would rather have the originals.
Hi a,
O.K. then.
Is the headlight 'cup' free to move? If it isn't, the screw may be putting too much pressure on the adjuster and breaking it.... maybe?
Regards,
Alan
I guess it's always possible that the material the adjuster is made from is not of good quality.... wouldn't THAT be a surprise!
I don't know if you got them from me or someone else.. but tomorrow, I'll pull a set out of stock and run the screws in and out and see if I have the same issue...
Coincidence. Im getting ready to place an order for headlight bushings, bearings and adjusters. I modded the headlights to electric and tore down the HL's today. Don't need the screws for the adjusters so I was going to buy just the black ones.
