Can anyone point me in the right direction please. I'm in the process of restoring a 78 Pace Car and the shifter console needs cleaned up and repainted or replaced. I've found various post in this forum on how to clean and paint/dye the old one and I have many options if I want to buy a new one. The problem is finding either one with the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition emblem already attached or just purchasing the emblem outright. I did a search on this forum but didn't come up with anything and I also searched google using the GM p/n for the emblem from my AIM. No luck to date.

I may have a contact with some NOS emblems. If I'm not mistaken he picked one up a little while ago. I'll put a call in and let you know. Take care, john

Yes I did. Got tired of looking after about 3,000 items. Saw plenty of consoles but none with the emblem.
I would recommend contacting Glenn Brown (Corvette Cosmetics ) in Shamong NJ Im sure he could help you out. his number is 609-268-2288. He is in Kissimmee FL for the NCRS regional but im sure he will get back to you asap
If your console is not damaged, just clean it well and recolor it to the original interior color code with SEM [liquid] ColorCoat vinyl dye {or, elastomeric recoloring agent, if you want to be specific}. The result will be a console that will look like it did in 1978. When you do the console, you may then want to make the rest of the interior look that good.

Thanks John. This is why I love this forum. There are all kinds of good people out there who are willing to help.
Replacement shifter consoles will not have the PC badge in place. You're on your own for that.
Your original console badge may be reusable if you are careful in removing it.

I had planned on cleaning, recoloring and reusing the console. The reason I was looking at new ones was because the badge/emblem on mine looks to have been damaged and has discoloration on it. I've been looking for a replacement just in case it doesn't clean up good. I guess I put the cart before the horse and was looking for a replacement before even trying to clean it up. Thanks all for your comments/help.
I have the emblem NOS on our web site. But.... when they were shipped into us from GM, the put them in a bag loose with no packing. I don't know if I have another one without chips in the black paint. If you are interested, email me at support@willcoxcorvette.com and I'll check to see.
