Hi Nowhere,
Yes those really were the good old days.
I was still in the active reserves so needed a haircut every 2 weeks. You're dad was apparently going a BIT longer between trims.
Regards,
Alan
Yes he sold it to a local guy around 78 and he wrapped it around a telephone pole on the passinger side door pushing it back to the console. The guy walked away from the crash. Then he kept the car in his barn and removed the driveline and put it in a 67 Chevlle SS that he still drives today the wrecked 69 is still at the guys barn. He's a real nice guy who works at a auto parts store in Hanover. He still kids about it to this day
Hi Keith,
That's a good story and has probably happened to too many nice cars.
The fact that it's still around is both good and sad at the same time.
Thanks!
Alan
Dad always told me that he only drove the car on nice days always kept it clean never in the rain and kept it in a garage. All for nothing. I guess it's better to think he walked away and only lost the car
Ps Alan are you going to the MAC chapter tech session in gettysburg next month. If the weather is good I'm driving my Chevelle there you could ride up with us if you like
