So far this is what I've made of it. I know that most of the enthusiast will hate what I've done but lets be nice please? I just cut the whole and trimmed it for the butterfly street scoop (for the cold air and the cool butterfly flaps), added grand sport stripes (love the way they look and the newer vettes, blacked out almost everything, blacked out bubble tail lights, painted the bottom half of rear bumper black to fix paint spots, added C6 blacked out flags (like the c6 flags better than the normal corvette letters), added a custom "Who was that masked man?" sticker because... I can and I love the lone ranger. Whats everyone think? Thanks for comments! I dont mind honest opinions but no one likes cruel comments.
I would scuff it down and hit it with Matt clear I like different so to me what you did is cool ..Had I seen that scoop idea I may have done it myself lol Get better pics of that hood
Haha, thought about the matte clear. Only problem is it catches the light so well with the clear coat. I am thinking about taking it completely down to a matte charcoal and leaving what is black, black. But thanks! I'll get some more pic of the hood for ya.
thanks for the opinions guys! I have another 75 that's completely original except for the new interior and C4 seats that's sunset orange. I love the original look but I wanted something with some fling. Plus, I'm 18, I think I have a bit more eccentric taste. However, I value other corvette owners opinions. I know most wont like it that are true corvette enthusiast. But let me say that anyone who isn't still likes it.

You're 18.......Same age as me when I bought my Vette. Only problem is that was 38 years ago in my case! Enjoy your youth brother. Arthritis sucks!!.........

Haha, I'm trying! I've been gunsmithing a while too so thats certainly not helping my hands at ALL. Glad to see there are some enthusiast that can appreciate my style! Thank you!
I can appreciate the originality. I like the blacked out look from the rear, not quite sure what the lettering says on the fenders, and I've never been a fan of 100% blacked out wheels. Certain cars look good with them, others do not. In my opinion the C3 style lends itself to a wheel that pops. But with all the other blacked out you did I can see why you did it. After saying all that, it's your car and you are free to mod it as you wish. LOVE the steam engine in the background

Thank you! This is the other one. Came with 275's in the back and these muscle type rims... the paint was matte and spotty, took a lot of compound, wax, polish, and detailer to pull it back to life. not to mention the mothers for the rims.

I would paint the front bumperetts black and put on a black front license plate of some sorts, crossed flags or something of that sort.
Put a 82 flip tail on it and paint it satin black, along with the nose.
I'm contemplating the same think on my dark brown '74. I'm keeping the nose on 'Sassy' black and probably going to do the tail in satin black as well (when I paint it dark satin brown). For the wheels, going to go with what it has (Torque Thrust D style), but they'll be powdercoated in a flat, dark tangerine. Should look 'interesting'...

actually I've been looking at low GT wing's to put on the back. I've seen them on old C3 race cars and love them. Also, where the front licence plate goes I'm thinking of cuting it out and putting the same styled vent thats on the left and right side with the blinker/running lights. and of course painting the bumpers black. But right at this moment I'm looking for some 275/60/15's to put on the rear for the more classic hot rod look.
Why do you even need to ask people to be kind? because you fear some troll will pop by just to trash it?
Yeah, I hear you but the forum has come a long way not too much bashing of mods now days because that is the direction things are going with many c3's.
That first picture made me think it had no wheels or tires, lol, I cant decide if I like the blacked out wheels or not, I'm thinking it's a cool look in person,
I dont like white cars but this one looks sweet, the only thing I dont like is the grand sport hash marks on any car other than the GS.
I do dig the message across the rear window...very old school and I do love old school
