Default Tach

The tach on my 76 use to jump all up and down. I had the distributor replaced and it works great now.

Comment about removing C3 dash panels. The interior substrates are white plastic which become very hard over the years...it' almost like the brittleness of glass. My opinion is that you cannot remove/reassemble C3 dashboard/console components without doing some damage. The goal is to minimize damage which will be really helped if you have experience removing/reinstalling these parts. The C3 interior was not designed to be removed/reinstalled..removed/reinstalled..sequential times.

If you remove the front dash panels, and in any whay disturb the interior wire harnesses, you may possibly not be able the dash panels back on due to interferences. If this is the case, remove the tach and speedo from the front panel and install the front panel. Put your hand through the tach and speedo holes and rearrange the harnesses to get them out of the way. Reinstall the front panel with one...the tach in place...and put your hand through the speedo hole to once again rearrange harnesses. etc.

I had a friend come over and help we did it in about six hours I would say between the column and all the dash etc two people is needed unless your really awesome

I'm sure there are plenty of people that can and they are a post away
I didn't have the nerve or the patience to do it alone
