Hi,
62corvette posted some interesting information from GM about CE engine stamping at another site.
If you see this would you please post it here too?!
Regards,
Alan
How about a date for your amusement!?!
Julian Date? 363, AND, TWO DIFFERENT FONTS!!!!
Now if there was only some holy cow document that listed what was INSIDE all of those CE motors, that would really answer alot of questions.
In a round about way, that question has been answered too. There was a cardboard tag attached to the engine with a GM part number on it. The part number gave all the particulars of what was inside the engine. Once the engine was installed in the car, the tag no longer had any importance.
Let's start a rumour that someone somewhere has a copy of an imaginary master serial number lists that identifies which CE engine was built to what GM part number. I blame Obama and the NCRS.
