I'll likely be in the market for a C3 in a couple of years (got a '66 Morgan +4 project car I've got to finish first), with an interest towards '73 and earlier model years, coupes in particular.
What I'd like to know a bit more about is the different roof types.
Were t-top's the only option certain years? What about fixed roofs? Or Single-piece removable roofs? How common were the different options over the years (if there were choices)?
T-Tops available all years, 68-82.
No fixed roofs stock those years.
No single piece original tops those years. Some aftermarkets were available. Opinion on those is mixed at best.
The only roof options were convertible (soft top or removable hard top) 68-75. T-tops all years, 68-82. Later years available in glass.
Hi f,
One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the removable rear window that went along with the removable roof panels. That was a standard part of the car for the 68-72 model years. After that the rear window became fixed.
It comes out in one piece and stores in a 'tray' in the rear compartment.
Regards,
Alan

The '86 is my daily driver (since my '01 got hit in September). It's in not that great shape after cooking in the SoCal sun for a few years while my sister drove it during college. That being said, it's still fun to drive. If I get into a C3 at some point in the next few years, I'd likely give the '86 back to my sis and fix up the C3 as a daily driver.
