HOLY CRAP! is all I can say. (assuming the pics are real) I would have never guessed that there were that many unsold cars. Just imagine all of the wasted industrial production used to make all of these cars.
Thanks for posting that. I will read it in detail this evening. When I read the article that I initially posted, I was skeptical, but my brother-in-law (who knows everything) is convinced that it is the gospel. It would b nice if he is wrong for once.
I have bought the late in the model year, but still new, cars a few times in the past and do expect a substantial discount. some dealers will give you a steep discount, but in the end, the end consumer is not privy to the knowledge of how much overstock the company may have. they don't want to give you that bargaining chip.
a company will have teams and teams of bean counters with intricate formulas for supply and demand and they are only thinking of bottom line earning per share.
I expect any mistakes made are very soon mistakes corrected. There's probably a little of truth in both articles.
