You covered this in another thread, I believe and it was inconclusive as to what your '74 came with. Is it just a shell? Is there anything inside, like even the windshield pillars to tell what color it is, so you can match it up on-line?

Is this going to be a 100 point NCRS Restoration? There may be others who disagree with me here, but why not just pick a color, pick the trim (only two levels, Standard and Deluxe and just go with it. Black Deluxe would be my choice.

Leather if you can afford it (because it ain't cheap). The vinyl like leather is pretty darn good, though, not quite there, but it's tough too! Also, If you order it as a package, you can sometimes get it a bit cheaper. Some of the vendors offer discounts to the restoration guys, if you order, let's say, $500 minimum on the first order and then consequent orders within a certain time period (Paragon Corvette offers this and others I'm sure).

no the car is all intact but the interior needs work, mostly the door panels. no im not looking for an all original show car but i wanna keep the same color interior thats in it. right now its tan, so is that saddle? is it neutral?? also ive seen some interior door panels that didnt have the woodgrain insert, if it does is that the deluxe??? again im not looking to make it s 100% matching show winner but i want to keep it fairly original so im seeking information

First, it's very likely, that you had a Saddle interior. The Neutral Interiors are really rare and not many people ordered them. The Saddle is a light tan color. The Neutral is almost a washed out Bone color.

Saddle:

Neutral:

Secondly, both those cars, DON'T have the Deluxe Interior, because they would have the wood inserts in the door panels and carpeting on the bottom, like this:

yes thank you now thats the info im lookin for. after seeing the pics im pretty sure mine has the saddle interior. of course mine is lighter but guess thats what 40 plus years of wear will look like. but mine also does have the carpet on door panels as well as the wood grain. so im assuming deluxe interior ?

also noticed mine was ordered with no a/c. not sure how rare but most ive seen had a/c

The first photo in F22's post has saddle interior. The second photo appears to be the neutral interior color. It is much lighter.

I agree with the others on the issue of selecting the interior color. You do not have any info that confirms what your car came with...nor does anyone else. Therefore, you need to have another trim tag made up. Pick the interior color and type you want, and have the trim tag coded accordingly.

P.S. If your existing parts are significantly lighter than the saddle interior photo, you likely had the 'neutral' interior.

pretty sure its saddle as the last pic is identical to the door panels on mine, well except mine look like hell. so were and how would i go to have a trim tag made up??

reason being for knowing what the exact color is is that some of the interior is in good shape and wont need to be replaced. if went with another color then EVERYTHING will need replaced.
