Gotta go with the rest, I really love mine. I've been struggling to get them adjusted correctly but I'm getting them there

I have no idea how you tall guys can fit in a C3 Brent. I'm 5' 9" and there isn't much extra room over my head with the T roofs in. Btw, your car is easily one of my all time favorites.

I live in the deep south and have not had mine on in also 3 years. I love them. I have a 68 and also love the back window out.

Apparently, I am in the minority here!!!!

OK, here are my reasons:

1) The are a nuisance to handle and to store--they take up a lot of real estate in the back that could be used for, like, beer.

2) I live in the hellhole that is central new york (no, I will NOT capitalize this liberal gulag) where the weather is nasty and unpredictable and the weatherfolks are clueless.

3) Have you ever engaged the top latch while the rear of the top was not fully seated? I have--instant paint scratch!

4) Every time they are removed, handled, or installed, you risk scratching them or otherwise damaging them.

5) Here in cny, the weather changes so abruptly that it would be sooooo nice just to reach back and put up a convertible top, vs. hauling out the "suitcase" and re-installing the t tops.

6) I bump my head on the damn things when I'm driving-- I realize that I'd do the same on a convertible top too, but at least they're soft!

7) The "scoop" created when the tops are off catch every livin' bug and slams them into the rear glass, which of course is no fun to access on my 1981 C3. I am just waiting for a bird or a bat to be captured there!

Hey, I love my car and I don't want to whine too much because when the tops are off and the weather is fair, it's a great great ride. I just wish it were a convertible/

As Nick Nolte said in 48 Hours, "I'm a RAGTOP man!"

Now if I could only afford a C2..............!

Best,

Tim

No. If you wanted a convertible, why did you buy a coupe?

You never know what you might encounter. I hit a red tailed hawk in the *** with mine. He had just lifted off from inspecting some road kill ahead of me. Thx to the slippery shape of the C3 hood he slid backwards about halfway to the windshield, raised his flaps and got the hell out of there.

I am also not a fan of the t tops; in fact, I think the car looks like crap with them off...it just ruins the look of the car for me.

I never take mine off....but my rear window is never in!

We love them. I like hardtop cars - the lines are a major part of the car's overall shape IMO. My wife likes convertibles, so we can have both with the t-tops

I LOVE T-tops.
The tops are only in for winter storage.

It is tight. I just bolted the seat to the floor as far back as it would go and that lowered the seats a bit. It helps a little.
Also: thanks!

I've only taken my off once and then only because it seemed obligatory to at least try driving with the roof off. I didn't like it, too windy and the sun was hot on my head. I do love having the glass roof though but it would be fine with me if the glass roof wasn't removeable.

Ick. That's one of the ugliest cars ever made. The only way I'd drive one of those is if someone paid me $200/month to do it.

Another yes to T--tops. They only problem I have encountered would be trying to get in or out after putting the tops back on OUCH....Think I would have learned after the first few dozen times LOL
