I called a guy last night about his chevy pickup truck, we were talking about the truck, and he mentions he has a corvette he is thinking about selling. So, we start talking about the corvette and he tells me he bought it in 1972 and that its red on red, 4 speed coupe. He explained to me that it has a special motor, an LT1 350. I ABOUT FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR. It is all original, with tank sticker. His and his wife are getting older and cannot drive the car anymore. He tells me he will sell the car and the truck together. The car has never been driven in witner and has 87000 miles on it. My question is what are these cars selling for these days?
Hi DF,
First Post for you….. Welcome!
Maybe a VERY nice find!
Lt-! cars can be quite valuable and are also quite desirable.
As has been said the determining factors will be how the car has been used, maintained, and stored, for all these years.
The word "original" perks up certain people's ears but is sadly often misused.
For some people it means the original tires, exhaust system, and oil/ air filter, are still somehow on the car; while for others "original" means it hasn't been converted into a pick-up truck.
The details of what this car actually is will determine it's value.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
