Default Mystery Bracket?

This bracket that the fuel filter is attached to looks like there should have been something there. If you notice the fan pulley has a place for a third belt. This is a 69 350/350 non air car. Thanks in advance.

That bracket the fuel filter is attached to is for the AIR pump.
Probably what the missing belt is.

Looks more like a bracket for the air pump for emissions system (smog).

Thank you guys. So I can probably remove that since I'm not putting in an air pump.

If you're really fussy you can remove the pulley, too, it's an add on.

An Add on? You mean like a 2 piece pulley? Also where would the filter mount if I removed that bracket?

Yep, single pulley mounted over a double.
Don't know about where to mount the filter.

If you have the two metal lines for the filter and to the carb, you do not need to mount it. Lou.
