Door panels.
And check this out, a seemingly endless supply of projects.

The prices indicate projects that are not for the faint of heart.
The door panels you're seeing were part of the Custom Trim option. $158 in 1971.
Leather seating surfaces, wood grain accents on the shifter console, plush carpet, and the door panels you describe.
Regards,
Alan
I consider it the beginning of the 'gentrification' of the Corvette….. when a plush interior was considered more important than horsepower.

Thanx Alan, I now see all the different aspects that went along with those dogs skins. I do like the door skins though, but would not make sence to use just the skins on a car that does not have the rest of the package.
I do wonder if that "custom trim" option showed up on the tank sticker? Or build sheet.

Added a wood trim shifter surround. Really ties it together.
I like it, just would like to replace the carpet on the door panels with loop.
Nice deluxe panels were easier to find than standards. They aren't perfect, but I'm looking for better...
