1971 fuel pump

Hello everyone need advise on purchase of a correct fuel pump for my base model 350 engine a original pump ncrs or other options? Thanks

Most pumps are being reproduced. Have you considered rebuilding your original?

Hi K,
There are several pumps available to replace your original. Since the canister needs to be un-crimped I'm not sure that the average person has the equipment to rebuild an original pump at home.
There are pumps available that:
1.Don't have the AC logo
2.Pumps that have the AC logo
3.Pumps that have the AC logo and a stamped part number.
4.Rebuilt original pumps.
The prices vary widely!!!!!
Some people report that the quality of the casting on the #3 pumps, which are expensive, but should be a good choice, is quite poor compared to the original.
So the choice isn't easy.

No matter which pump is chosen, make sure it is the 'three port' type and not the typical aftermarket 'two port' type as offered by Edelbrock etc.
