I could give that car a good home, a nice cozy garage to protect it from all that bad snow.

Boy does that remind me of driving my 1968 roadster with hardtop on, in the New England winters of the late 70s.

Wonder if the owner has to do that like I did.

Of course, it was a 10 year old car back then.

No plates? That '72 (best year ) deserves better. Not even covered. Wow.

....Although it reminds me of the day I parked my '72 for a few years while I saved up to rebuild the 350 that spun a bearing.

But at least I had a cover on it right? It went from out side to this. Sat there for three years before I got back around to it.

Anyways hopefully it gets treated a little better.

In the owner's defense last night's 3" of snow did catch most of us by surprise. Most of the cars we now own with great pride likely spent the 1st half of their lives covered in snow when they were 'just cars'!

Heck, I drive past a farm every day where a nice red Ferrari 348 sat covered in snow all winter one year. It looks like he put it away this year though.

If I didn't have the garage space, I wouldn't have purchased my '98 or '73. 25 years apart, I am sure sitting next to each other in my garage they have a lot to "chat" about .

Now that I a out of garage space, if a screaming deal came along, I would have no problem renting garage space at a secure facility until I could accommodate it in my home's garage. But I would never leave it outside being in the Northeast.

It's good that it didn't rain/freeze/rain/re-freeze/rain/re-freeze.......

that fiberglass body would be popping off the frame from the expanding ice where it bonds together!

I wouldn't be surprised if some even had snow tires on the back during the winter months.

Here's a good one... when I drove my '68 one winter, I got to the gas station and couldnt open my gas cap: it was frozen. So I went home, poured hot water on it... it opened... I closed it and went back to the gas station.

Yes, the hot water froze it again by the time I got back.

Not exactly a genius in my early 20s.

Nice!

At first I thought you were about to say you pulled out a match or lighter to heat it up. I actually kno...KNEW..a guy who did something similar and he is no longer with us as he blew himself and his truck up doing something like that.

Corvettes are nice weather children .

Treat your child well

Don't leave them outside to freeze to death.

I guess that everybody bought a house with a garage before you bought a vette. Some of us were not so lucky. I drove mine in some pretty bad weather but as it was my only means of transportation it was either that or walk. In fact it wasn't untill last year that I was able to be someplace and get the car port built for it to set under. If your old enough to have owned your "baby" since it was new I'm pretty darn sure that there was alot of times it set out side in whatever kind of weather was around.

Was that Ferrari sitting at a farm on highway 10 around Callidon by chance? On the west side?. Cause I could swear I cought a glimps of that as I was driving by one day.

My buddy would be banging the ice and snow off the wiper door on his 69 so his wipers would work. That thing was pretty squirrely as a winter car.

Sometimes i'll move mine out of the garage so i can do maintenance on my daily drivers , not a big deal, i dry it all off in the heated garage after
