All '76's were badged and sold as a Corvette Stingray. '76's were also the last Corvette sold as a Stingray, despite that the body style lasted until 1982. They only had a coupe for '76, and it could have been ordered in either a L-46 or L-82. ===> Correct me if I am wrong.

Brandon I wish they offered a L-46, it was a L-48. Almost two hundred hp difference.

I think it's sad when people assume a c3 with a stingray emblem is a high performance model
Yep #1 question I get asked about my 68, "Is it a Stingray?", I always answer "Technically No" ( not trying to start a war), their response is, "to bad cause they were fast!" I just smile and respond, "Yes they are."

This topic has been discussed many times. Although the 68 was not badged as a Stingray, there was some GM literature at the dealers calling them a Stingray. Seems there was so much going on in bringing the new body style to market that it was just bypassed. Actually it is more Stingray ( one word ) than all other years from 68 - 76 because it is the first year of the C3 body style.
