Quick question, my 72 has seats from from a 80 vette, and replacing them with the correct year seats. The seats I am getting are nice, but the wrong color. My interior is a custom blue and can't find any seat covers to match, so will have to get some spray matched. The seat covers on the new seats are in great shape, and would like to spray them if possible so looking for any tips on how to do them. I am going to use the SEM color coat and their adhesion promoter. Curious if anything needs to be done different with them being the seats opposed to the other hard interior parts.

Nothing different. But, for all interior items being re-dyed, it is VERY important to get all surfaces absolutely clean: free of dirt, free of oil, free of Armor-All , and free of detergent, once you have cleaned them.
Regarding the areas of the 'seams', you may want to use a small artist's brush to put dye down into the seam joints, wherever the spray will have a hard time getting complete coverage. Do this by hand before spraying the surfaces.
You can spend extra money to buy anything you WANT. But, what you NEED to do is get the surfaces clean. You can use dish detergent, cleaner, or whatever. My preference is to NOT spend any more than necessary to get the job done. Never had a problem using detergent/water mix to clean interior parts...as long as they get rinsed thoroughly and dried thoroughly before dyeing.
P.S. I did use SEM interior dye to recolor my 13-1/2" diameter, [black] leather-wrapped steering wheel. And, for that, I used a final wipe of lacquer thinner to make sure the leather oils on the surface were removed just before spraying the dye.
