I'm beginning to consider the interior in my restore and looking at the seats they need work.
Im considering swapping them out for a more safer/comfort/modern option the main reason is that I'll have my young kids in the car with me often and I'd like to make it as safe as possible for them.
Does anyone have v any recommendation For make and model?

Seems like most use Fiero seats and buy replacement skins from My Mike (http://www.mrmikes.com). They aren't direct bolt in but you can still use the C3 seat tracks with a little work. I picked up a seat this past weekend for $100.00 for Craigslist.
I have those same seats purchased from a fellow forum member. they are great. you can get an adapter plate that will allow them to bolt right into the C3. note these are a tad taller than OEM so if you are tall try someones on for size.

Do a search on here for Mustang seats. There is a forum mmber who put 'Stang seats, I think 2005-7 vintage, a direct fit and bolt on. They look like they were made for the car. Just don't tell anyone you have Ford stuff in your vette.
I have a pair of Mazda Miata/Mx5 seats for my '69 and they are very comfortable. I have
cad drawings of the adaptor brackets if you decide to go this way, just let me know and
I will send you a copy of the drawings.
