Glass Date codes
Hi there, I have a date code on my glass that say IX and if I breake it down it is June 68 and my car is build august 8.
My cuestion is, of couse the glass is produced before the car but how long before the car?
Can it be anything from one to six month,maybe more?

Hi Stefan,
Generally dated parts precede the car's assembly date by a few days to 6 months.
Glass dates however are seen up to 1 year prior to the car's assembly.
My mid January built 71 has glass dated December 70.
