There's the old saying "It's clean enough to eat off of it".......

but then it would have salad dressing and bread crumbs on it!

It looks great

I think it looks outstanding. Nice job. What did you use to coat it inside and out? Love that look and what a great place to start from for building/rebuilding your car.

I would take lots of measurements from shock towers and other points to make sure its straight side to side front to back etc.

Sure is nice to see it so pretty!!!

First of all, I've cleaned up the frame on my 68, got rid of all the grease, etc and repainted it. Similarly, the frame on my 70 is completely clean and repainted. But..the frame welding just looks terrible..even though it looks stock, factory, etc. The frame welding tends to be sort of spotty, some sections of the frame halves are not welded. What if someone made continuous welds all along the frame, and then ground down the welds smoothly and got rid of the splatter. It'd look really nice, but when the car was fully assembled, no one would notice. Seems like something a perfection nut would want to do.

Looks good. Definitely suggest taking measurements to make sure it's straight. Also, and this is just me, I'd weld it up and stiffen it per the Chevy Power Book. Even if you're not planning on racing it a stiffer frame will help the car handle better.

That looks clean enough to eat off of.

Not that i will ever get my frame that clean, i would check the frame specs to the manual for correctness.

The coating is a SEMA product that I got from a local frame shop. I will def. measure. And you are right about the factory welds. They really enhanced after paint

The Pittsburgh area is crawling with corvette shops. Media blasters and alot of people with tons of knowledge.

This frame was sent out for blasting. Rust preventative was sprayed inside and hung at different angles. Then epoxied. Brought back to the shop and sanded with 220. Sprayed on the SEMA coating. Outside and inside. Then let hang. Took me 6 months to get it back from the guy I hired. It is a 69 big block frame with a welded in crossmember. I wish i could have gotten side by sides of my frame next to it. It def. looks beefier but my other was rotted completely. If you look on my posts you can see the rot. Overall I am happy. The 6 months allowed me to gather parts, components and Money!! She will go together quick hopefully!

Again, great job
It looks solid.
If all is in rack it should out last you.
I'd love to take my 68 down but know I'll never find the time.
