So my frame was painted using a Sims product bought at a local frame shop, It turned out beautiful, satin period correct, (Pics in profile)
This weekend I am building my blast cabinet, and doing Control arms and knuckles, I bought some eastwood rust encapsulator, and extreme chassis black in satin that I will use on any black parts when they are done.
My question is what is the best paint for that cast look on the knuckles and pivot shaft on control arms. I want something durable and will look good for years. Thanks alot!

Clear will turn yellow over time. NO paint or finish except natural cast iron will look right. I have used Cast Blast in the past it is as close as you can get with paint, Don't know if they still make it.
Hi d,
I agree that the Cast Blast paint gives a very good look.
It's a bit different than the true appearance of the naked cast iron because it's really TOO nice.
You have to have the parts VERY clean to get good adhesion and you need to be cautious while reassembling to not scuff or scratch the parts with the fasteners.
It touches up well too if needed.
If you want to vary the appearance of the parts a bit you can use Cast Blast, Stainless Steel, and Titanium paints that Eastwood sells.

Alan
I first restored my chassis with painted surfaces but have since gone back to unpainted surfaces with some clear paint (applied VERY thinly) or other protectorent on the bare surface.
Yeah. I ended up purchasing spray gray, rust encapsulator. And chassis black. Should turn out good. We shall see. Powder coating was out. Only due to turn around time and ease of spraying over travel time to the powder coater and back. Plus. Guys in my area charge a mint! Guy wanted 300-400 for a small box of parts, a arms, half shalfs,
