Default Build sheet

Can someone tell me if there is another build sheet on a c3 besides over the fuel tank?

Thanks

Hi h,
I'll answer thinking you're asking about your 69.
The tank location is your best hope. Do you see any signs that it was once there?
Some cars, maybe many cars, also have a copy behind the dash… sometimes between the tachometer and speedometer, or behind the radio.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

I have read accounts of build sheets being found behind the speedo/tach, behind either kick panel, tucked in the springs under a seat, and under the carpet in the rear storage area. Tom Russo has a pic of a 78 build schedule folded and tucked under a rear spring mount.

All of these locations appear to have been hit or miss. I checked all of the interior locations on my 68 and found nothing.

I've never owned a Corvette that someone had not already taken the dash apart so no chance that there would be a build sheet there but to my surprise on my present 72 it was still on the top of the gas tank. The original was frail but most was still readable so I removed it and made a copy so I could laminate the copy and re-install that one on the top of the tank . I am keeping the original in an envelope to protect it from any further damage.

I pulled a 2 page build sheet from my 72 LT1 from between the speedo and tach. It was folded up very small and tucked right in there.

I'd say your car has a long options list.

Thanks!

I used an inspection camera and found mine on top of the gas tank w/o removing the tank or damaging the sheet. I haven't tried to search behind the dash.

There is no fixed and firm place they were put... If they were even put at all. They were not meant to be found by the owner.

An inspection camera lets you look in an unobtrusive manner.

Post #5 above by Easy Mike is as good as it gets...

I would add storage compartments and even under the jack!

But my favorite is...tucked into the strut bracket of a 78 low-mileage B2Z Silver Anniversary

The same locations could apply for 79s. I do not advocate tearing apart an interior looking for a build sheet, but be wary of tossing out what you might think to be an old piece of paper you might run across without taking a look at it.

For 77-81 St. Louis cars, there may be an alternative. Go here: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the original dealer invoice for your car. The invoice will list all the options installed on the car at St. Louis, prices, original dealer, shipping date and method, and other information.

Here's one for a 77:

For Bowling Green cars, you can contact the NCM and see if they have a copy of the build schedule.
