Default original C3 sill plates

This is probably an Alan question. Did the OEM sill plates have a part number stamped on the backside?

I've never seen any with a part number. Normally, stamped and extruded aluminum parts (like sills, rockers, moldings, etc) didn't have part numbers on them.

I have NEVER seen a part number embossed/stamped or otherwise on a door sill.

Hi b,
gb and DUB are right… no part number on the sill plates.
It's pretty easy to see the difference in the originals and the reproductions… mainly in the width of the 'fins', and the way the holes are drilled.
Regards,
Alan

I am very surprised that the reproduction sill is that different from the stock one. Are the hole locations in the same, stock locations? Lou.

Default Sill Plates

I believe Wilcox may be able to fix you up with very decent reproduction sill plates. I purchased sill plates from Tony's Corvette and they are very very good.

Picture shows original right next to Reproduction. The only difference I could see is the counter sink for the screws.

OEM left vs Reproduction on right.
