The passenger side hood latch on my 68 won't unlatch. The driver's side will release and pop up as normal but the passenger side won't. I am able to pull up on the driver's side hood corner and even grab the end of the cable that crosses over to the passenger side and pull on it but still won't release the passenger side latch ??? Anybody have a solution?? Thanks, Tom.

Sounds as if your cable may have stretched or broken. If you remove the cowl vent panel in front of the windshield wiper door you will find a plug that can be push out. This will give you access to the hood latch. Use a screw driver to pry the catch open. See attached pictures.

I run into this problem from time to time...and if I can slide my hand and grasp teh cable under th hood. I try not to pick up on eh hood too much and get it at a binding angle. The flatter the better....then while pulling on the cable..I push and pull on the hood and try to get it to release.
MAKE SURE you do this on level ground at first. If it does not work...then pull the car onto an area where you can put the frame in a twist...and sometimes it may pop up when you pull the cable. Now...because I service Corvettes...I do not have time moving it around...so I take my floor jack and will jack up one wheel at a time and put the frame in a slight twist. If you do not have a floor jack...this is why I mentioned pulling it up onto something that will put the frame in a slight twist. COMMON SENSE applies here.
