Guys I used to hang with would drive any where in the USA to buy the hulk of a BBC2.
They had a BB corvette factory 2.0 LOL .....tons of people up north waiting to pay them.
These cars look like new compared to what I saw my friends start with ....
Sometimes nothing more than a firewall and pair of doors or decklid . Axle was usually all was left . A tranny was added bonus . Cars almost never had any engine .
They had a building full of parts ...
. Tons of green interiors ripped out to make up red cars with red or black interiors ....LOL
New front and / or rear complete clips ....saves a million hours and your ready to resurrect a BB C2 . Throw in a restamped block and new trim tag ......for a red or black car ...
....
Another concours Corvette back on the market . New fiberglass , restamped engine , zillion repro,parts .....and happy new owners with fists of money waiting.
So as the owners of these cars die .....now their children are selling them off as 100 original to even dumber buyers .
