Default Winshield frame

Hi

I have to replace my windshield frame.
The bird cage is out, it has been straightened and rockers have been replaced.
The windshield frame has previous been cut in the middle of the paasenger side A-pillar and through the top frame, and replaced with another frame part.
The chassis frame has been straightened quit a lot as well, Guess that the car has once been damage due a roll over.

When ordering new after market winshield frame parts from Willcox, they claim that these aftermarket upper frame parts are not made correctly, and that they were currently testing fitting them in their shop in order for the manufacturer could made changes accordingly.
This was in April, and so fare no definitiv answer to this.

Do anyone in here have positive experience in replacing these parts?

Thanks
Lars

Default Windshield frame

Hi Lars, I had to replace my windshield frame do to excessive rot hidden underneath the trim. I purchased my frame from Paragon who is a forum supporting vender also. I also had to replace the center T top support. You will need to take some measurements so that you are assured of your angles. This is important for the windshield as well as your door glass. Not sure is any of this will help your situation.

Hi Lars,
You might want to talk to the folks at 'Caledonia Classic Cars' in Belding MI 48809. 888-254-5224.
They're a source for many birdcage cage parts and may also be a source for what you need.
They don't, as far as I know have a web site so it will take a phone call.
I'm not sure just whom Willcox is getting their parts from, (it could be them), so this may be a dead end….but maybe not.
Regards,
Alan

Ours had a few small holes around it where we welded in new metal, but the only patch pieces we bought to put in were the two upper corners. The fit was not perfect, but was close enough to easily make it work.

Good questions Lar 's I think I may still have that info not sure. I can give you the angle of my new ones. 48 degrees with a level resting on the top of the lower windshield.
