Default What is this part?

I found this under the driver seat on my 72 Stingray. Where does it go?

Hi bs,
That's the cover for the base plate of the interior rear view mirror.
The windshield header soft trim holds the 'tabs' in place.
The curved 'stem' of the mirror comes through the hole.

Yep, and those little suckers are expensive. About $25 if I recall correctly.
