Default Dash lights ground???

1981

Headlights and Dome light work fine.

Dash lights are intermittent...mostly not working but they come on once in a while.

Since this is a corvette, common sense says it is most likely a ground. After all what isn't a ground problem on a vette? Need advice on which ground strap is most likely culprit and location.

I could just start poking around but I bet someone knows the most likely spot to start the search???

Thanks!

The ground is attached to the inner left hinge post.

IF your high beam light indicator comes on...and your BRAKE warning light comes on when you pull up the hand brake handle...then the chances are the ground is good.

There is printed circuit board on the backside of your speedo/tach cluster. You can have a problem with it ...or a problem in the headlight switch which supple is power to the INST LMPS fuse when you pull the headlight switch know...and also the taillight fuse ( if memory serves me correctly) which supplies power to the headlight switch for the gauge lights....which you can ahve a corroded or loose fuse in the fuse panel....EITHER the taillight fuse or the INST LMPS fuse.
