I'd never thought about these until I recently drove this one on a car trip through Tuscany but now I'm smitten. I need one..

Wouldn't be the greatest choice of car in rainy old Manchester so short trips only I think.

Yes there is. It is painted and roadworthy. I took it out for its first real drive last weekend. AMazing the looks you get while driving it.It has just stupid power and is a blast to drive. Still not much of any interior but that is minor. Just a fun car to drive and cant wait to put some more miles on. I have been busy at work and summer activities and I have not been home much so work on it has been scarce. Hopefully this fall I will get more done on it.

If there's a way I could keep only one of my vettes, these are the 3 cars I would love to get.
Factory 5 gtm
Cobra Daytona
Pantera

By the way killer cobra, I almost traded for one a few years ago. The only thing I don't like is there's no top that's why I didn't get it besides the cash he wanted

The GTM is in a different league. Maybe someday. I also like their 33 which most of the time like the GTM uses LS power. Cool cars.

As for the no top yes you will get wet. Most guys use a marine type of carpet and leave a small drain hole or two in the cockpit to drain off the water. There was a picture a while ago of a guy who was driving with a swim mask and a snorkel in a driving rain. That's the risk of no top.

In my mg (which has a top, but not one that keeps out much rain...) I have all the carpet (and it is marine carpet) cut around the seat rails etc such that it can be removed (and later reinstalled) very quickly and hung out to dry if I get caught in the rain. A very worthwhile modification in my opinion!

I will keep that in mind. The carpet is not yet installed.
