He and the elves did a good job!

Just picked up a 3.5 ton low profile jack today to help out with some work that needs to get done...I think I'm going to have to be on Santa's NICE list this year to get the jack that I really need.

There's a good thread from DDawson on the QuickJack: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ttle-lift.html

I have a BL-5000XL and added a video of mine in action:

Hi m,
Yes, it appears to have been made well. I feel safe working under it.
It's made in 2 different capacities and 2 (?) different lengths. Santa brought me the shorter one with the higher capacity.
The only thing that I needed to get used to the first time I used it was that the car moves forward as it raises.
The difference in the jacks affects the price so you need to be sure what the specs are when comparing prices.
Santa bought mine from Summit because there was free shipping.
Regards,
Alan

So do you have to buy 2 of them? Or is the price for both sides?

If you are limited on space and overhead clearance, its a viable option.. but if you have room and funds, get a TWO-POST LIFT!! you will love standing up to work on your car instead of lying on your back ... just my opinion..

That's a great question. Have not tried one but as you can see from pictures they can sit under the car so if you can slide them past the side pipes it may be ok.

My Vette is too low to drive over them but that may be an option on a side pipe car as it is exhaust that would hit.

I think you only need 3.5" clearance if I recall correctly.

Have a friend with a side piped 69 so I may be able to check it out some time.

That is probably true, I had a low height and I wanted them to be portable.

By the time they get to Australia the cost is similar to a 2 post.

However can't say I have any complaints.

PS: I did consider a 2 post and locking it for max height but the lift poles on each side would have been a pain in my garage. I can imagine my wife would have not liked the space they would have taken up -

If anyone is interested in the QuickJack's let me know! We have another thread in the C7 section on the lifts and are doing our best to support the Corvette Forum community. If you need any specs or information on the lifts just let me know or check out the site at GarageEnthusiast.com.

Here is a link to the other thread:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...5000-a-15.html

The original BL-3500 are on closeout and I will match the $825 price on them. Inventory is limited and once they are gone they are gone!! The original BL-5000 is sold out.

The new SLX models are upgraded versions and available to ship immediately. The BL-7000SLX will begin shipping soon and are on a preorder status.

Thanks again for the interest in the QuickJack and giving us the push to become a site sponsor. Besides selling the full line of BendPak lifts we also sell the whole Ranger line of products, Swisstrax Flooring, Wall Control storage solutions, Chemical Guys Detailing products, and Sonax Detailing products. We are also in the process of adding new products so if there is something you would like offered let me know!!

Love'em, I have the BL-5000 that my 73 has been sitting on for too long.

I like the fact that I can haul them into the driveway and work on the wife's car...

I've been seriously considering the Bend Pak MDS-6k but don't see this lift on your site?
