Hello to all.. New to this amazing community
Thank you for letting me be part of this amazing community where we all have a common denominator... The love for our C3!!
Well, in my case, my soon to be red 73 c3 😁
I just pulled the trigger on this red beauty... It should be arriving in the next couple weeks to good ol sunny Florida.
So to the experts and c3 lovers I ask what do you guys think of my upcoming vehicle?

Nice looking '73. Congratulations on your upcoming purchase. A lot of photos and that's good. If you've been lurking, you're probably aware, that even as nice as your Corvette is, that they always need something. Just part of the ownership experience. I only see two things. One is the funky fuel line set up, with the insulation across the front of the engine, zip tied. That's gotta go. And the inspection cover is missing between the engine and the transmission. Other than that, looks great. Of course, you already know, that the engine has been modified from stock. You should inquire as to what got done to it. Cam specs would be good to know, for example.
The forum, both general and tech are great sources of info for all of us. There's a Search feature

Very nice!
I'm in the Atlanta area, but I'm not familiar with that dealer, might have to stop by and check out their inventory..

Nice ride, looks well put together. Enjoy in great health, you're face will hurt from smiling ear to ear when you drive. I did notice in the picture of the underside that the transmission bell housing lower cover is missing. You should not be able to see the flex plate. Tell the dealer to install one before delivery.

Just curious Dave, what made you choose a '73? The unique combo of the chrome rear/soft front bumpers?
Looks like it can be put back easily close to stock in appearance, even with the crate motor, if that's your plan...

And thank you for the info on the plate, I have a dedicated vette shop close by in case it gets complicated.

Curiously, there has never been a STRONG following for the '73. That is surprising, considering that it had a body design all its own (not the same as prior nor following model year); no other model year Corvette can say that. I always considered the '73 a very good looking body style with the early C3 rear end with more modern, clean nose.
Yours looks particularly nice (Mille Miglia red is really a great color). I sincerely hope that the frame and mechanical aspects of the car are equally nice. Check those items out first and repair any safety related issues before you drive it above city street speeds or for very long trips. (age/condition of tires, brakes, suspension, seat/shoulder belts, steering, lights, wipers, drivetrain function)
Have fun!!!!

Hi Dave,
VERY nice looking 73.
I hope it gives you lot's of pleasure.
Remember it's a 43 year old car so will likely require some 'tinkering' as you use it. I hope you can find that the tinkering can be part of the fun of having a nice old car.
Good Luck! I'll bet you're pretty excited waiting for it!
Regards,
Alan
Here's a picture of the inspection plate. Just a couple of small bolts hold it in place. The large round hole is where the starter is mounted. The starter will need to be removed to install the plate. Not a big deal as far as $ or work is concerned.

Hi Dave.
Welcome and congrats!
Love your '73 and I agree about the uniqueness of that model. I looked at a couple of 1973 models when I went shopping locally for a C3, but ended up with a '76 4-speed instead - lol.
Whereabouts in Florida are you located?
