I have a 76 Stingray with a light problem. All the lights in the frontend of my vette just quit working. This includes the headlights, parklights, and courtesy lights.all the rear lights, including the dash lights work fine though.when I turned my lights on tonight, the dash lights came on just fine, but I noticed the LH turn signal light stayed on,as did the high beam warning light.Does anybody have any ideas what could be wrong to cause this?I checked my fuses first thing, and they were all good, any ideas???
i know this might not be any help because my 79/81 has been bubbafied... i had a similar issue but it was wires shorting out in the harness leading to the front lights(located on the driverside inner fender). there was a remnant of what used to be a ground that broke off on the radiator support. also a wire that bubba jumped from the fusebox to the headlight switch cause the whole switch to melt.
Right! 12vdc power is sent to all the lamps individually; but the grounding may be 'coupled' to several bulbs. A bad ground may be the issue, or you could have a bad [main] lamp switch so that NO power gets to the lamps.
Use a multimeter to check from correct voltage at the bulbs. Make sure the (-) lead is connected to metal that feeds from the (-) side of the battery (frame, engine block, etc).
