Default Cowl Induction Rubber Seal Replacement

Hey i'm looking for some insight on changing my rubber seal on my cowl induction, hood to carb on my 1975.
I have found only one USA made rubber seal from Ecklers for $60.00 & and a Corvette America replica (not USA made) for $45.00.
I would like to get a better look and seal as well as something that will hold it's shape. Has anybody replaced theirs that can supply some insight? Any opinions or experiences, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

I carry the seal that is imported and haven't had any issues with it. They will collapse and take a pressed impression over time from sealing up but the original seal did the same thing so I think the answer would be no... there isn't anything that will hold its shape over time.

But one thing you should know is that the GM US made seal is larger than the original and must be cut (about 1") and re-glued to install it. (This is why we only carry the imported version now). It's very do-able and you can glue it back with super glue gel glue. When the imported version wasn't available it was all there was so we didn't have a choice then.

Thanks for the information. Wasn't sure if I should trust an imported part. Being the correct size is a plus. Will look into it further.
