Hi 69,
I think the only thing I can add is to be sure to note that 2 of the of the dimensions are to the TOP side of the mount (2&3) and the #4 dimension is to the UNDER side of the mount. The symbol appears near the #1 mount dimension too, but it's unclear if that dimension it to the upper or lower side of #1???
Regards,
Alan
Alan, I'm at the stage where this information is critical to me. I did notice in the Chevrolet Chassis Manual it states that the (*) "symbol indicates that the dimension is to the underside of the frame top surface or body mount". That can be confusing since the symbol is shown on #2 #3 #4 but the dimension lines are showing something different. I'm trying to figure out why the #4 mount would be different from the others?

I don't know if Alan would see this or have anything else to add. I've never figured out for sure what is correct. I seems that they measured for shims with the frames on a jig upside down. Best of luck, there's a lot of information out there just need to dig around.
Thanks Andy, hope all is well.I need to get some motivation and get back to working on the project car. It's been nice to have the 73 on sunny days. Just turn the key and hit the road
