I didn't want to "force" anyone to scroll thru all these unless they chose to.... Any and all are welcome. This was my first view of this car, I will go back this weekend and start gathering pieces and parts. The owner purchased the car (wrecked) to be a project with his son, then passed away soon after. I'm hoping to help the widow sell her car without being taken advantage of (she's a good friend of my wife). These pictures are not an attempt to list the car for sale, merely as an introduction to what I'm involved in...
The password is....can you guess? Starts with a "c"
Hi Dz,
Looks like quite a nice project!
One of those fishing poles must have caught one big enough to take a SERIOUS bite out of the right front corner!
Do you think the odometer might be on it's first go-round?
Regards,
Alan

Alan, Thanks! I'm no fisherman, but I agree... it must have been a biggun!
As to the odo...I really have no way to be certain, but my guess is it's starting it's second lap. BUT, that being said, the window sticker on the passenger side says something about a license and the years listed are '83-'84. So, could someone put 10k-plus miles-per-year on their Vette?
That's a nice looking project there. Any idea what the asking price will be?
Mav, I hope to get as much as it will bring. She remembers her hubby paying over $6k from an auction. I'm here to gather information to help determine a place to start.
We might put it on ebay. I have a trailer and some mechanical ability. I want to insure it will roll, because at the moment the brake rotors are pretty crusty. I'd love to know what condition the engine is in, but I wonder if trying to turn it over manually could harm it.
We found a blown tire that could've contributed to the crashed front end, but that is pure speculation on my part. I hope to know more soon, and I will either be posting pictures or question. Probably both!
Thanks for the response.
I think there's a Used Corvette dealer in your area? Don't know their reputation but you might want to poke around and see what they have as a comparision? Maybe just talk with them, could learn a few things.
