C6 Headlights on a C3

C6 Headlights on a C3
I did a search but did not come up with much. One thing I love about this board is, if you have an idea about a mod, someone has probably done it already.
So I am at a car show last week and my 68 coupe is parked next to a 2008 coupe and I was checking out his HID headlights. For reference, my Raptor has a set of these and they make a huge difference over the regular lights. Looking at the bucket size of the C6, its roughly the same only inverted of the C3. I do love the flip up headlights and plan to keep it that way, just when they pop up, they will be the HID set and an additional side marker light if I have room. To quote a movie "My Dad is a TV repairman, he got the ultimate set of tools."
Soo, I was thinking of modifying a set of C6 buckets to fit onto my C3. I contacted a guy on the C6 forums who told me it has been done several times and documented here, but I could not find anything.
Can anyone reference this being done?
