I wanted to stay as close to original as possible with my '68 steel leaf spring-pack.
The main leaf with the hole on each end was "turning up"/losing it's arch.....so I bought a piece of spring steel/cut it to length/drilled holes/installed it.

(I also modified the original main leaf to support the new main leaf)

Any local Spring Shop could fabricate a new main leaf for you.

Unless you ABSOLUTELY have to have an OE, or OE looking spring, go with a composite spring. Your "buns" will thank you............

I put one on the '79 that my wife used to own. We liked it, and had no trouble in the 4-5 years that we owned the car, after the spring installation........
